In this issue, we highlight activities and projects that are making a significant difference in the communities we serve. From exciting math activities to improvements in educational infrastructure and vital donations, our commitment to the well-being of Honduras remains unwavering. Join us as we explore these success stories that reflect our commitment to progress and prosperity.

Fun and Healthy Fun in the La Bonanza Community!

In an effort to show that mathematics can be exciting and fascinating, we have carried out an exciting activity in the La Bonanza community. Under the motto "Learning Mathematics is Fun", we set out to show children that this subject can be entertaining and challenging through a series of interactive and educational activities. The little participants were delighted with mathematical games, puzzles and numerical challenges, awakening their curiosity and encouraging them to develop mathematical skills. The activity not only promoted learning, but also encouraged teamwork and logical thinking, as children immersed themselves in a world of numbers and calculations.

But that was not all: in addition to the mathematical activities, we worry about the children's oral health. For this reason, we organized a fluoridation campaign in which our talented dentist provided dental care and attention to 74 children in the community. Through the application of fluoride, dental health was promoted and children were educated about the importance of good oral hygiene. The enthusiastic participation of the children and the support of the community were essential to the success of these activities. We thank all the collaborators and volunteers who made this event possible, as well as the parents and educators who foster a love of learning and health in children.

Helping to Improve Hygiene and Health Conditions in Education!

The community of Cacao Colón rejoices to announce the beginning of the construction of a sanitary module at the María Hercilia Herrera School. This long-awaited project, valued at more than 200,000 lempiras, has as its main objective to improve the hygiene and health conditions of the school, providing adequate facilities for students and teachers.

The sanitary module will consist of three separate areas: one for girls, another for boys and a third sanitary room dedicated to teaching staff. In addition, a urinal, a water basin, two sinks, an elevated tank and a water pump will be installed, thus guaranteeing adequate access to drinking water and quality sanitary services. The construction of this sanitary module is a significant step to guarantee that the students and teaching staff of the María Hercilia Herrera School have optimal hygiene and health conditions, thus promoting a safe and conducive environment for learning. The investment made in this project demonstrates our foundation's commitment to quality education and student well-being.

This new health infrastructure is expected to have a positive impact on the health and academic performance of children, while providing comfort and dignity to all school users.

A New Era of Enlightenment and Learning!

With great satisfaction, we are pleased to announce the successful completion of the electrification project at the 18 de Noviembre School, located in the community of Los Prados 2 in Namasigüe. This project, valued at more than 117,300 lempiras, has been an important step towards improving educational facilities and the learning environment for students.

The electrification project has covered the electrical installation in three classrooms, a computer laboratory, the kitchen and the school warehouse. The main objective has been to improve the lighting and ventilation system, providing children with a more suitable and comfortable learning environment. Thanks to this initiative, students at the 18 de Noviembre School will be able to enjoy greater clarity in the classrooms, which will favor concentration and academic performance. In addition, the electrification of the computer laboratory will allow students to access technological resources, opening a world of opportunities and knowledge.

The final delivery of the electrification project at the 18 de Noviembre School represents a significant achievement for the Los Prados 2 community and a step forward in improving educational quality. This effort reaffirms the importance of investing in school infrastructure to provide a safe and appropriate environment that fosters student learning and growth.

We successfully completed the Fifth Barber Shop!

We are proud to have successfully concluded the fifth barbering workshop, a training program aimed at providing job opportunities to young people interested in this trade. Over a period of 75 hours, 12 enthusiastic participants immersed themselves in the world of barbering, acquiring fundamental skills and knowledge.

In our workshop we provide comprehensive training in hair cutting, shaving and beard grooming techniques. Participants benefited from theoretical and practical classes, which allowed them to develop their skills and confidence in using appropriate tools and techniques. The completion of this fifth barbershop workshop marks another important milestone in the Namasigüe municipality's efforts to provide employment and development opportunities for young people. At the end of the program, the 12 participants received certificates that accredit their training and prepare them to enter.

We received our second container of medicines from Map International!

In a striking display of international solidarity and cooperation, we have received a second container from MAP International. This valuable donation, valued at more than 43,000,000 Lempiras, is made up of a wide range of medicines and medical supplies of vital importance.

This container comes at a critical time for the country's public health, as health centers have been struggling to meet demand for essential medicines and medical supplies. Thanks to this generous contribution, 25 health centers in Honduras will benefit greatly and will be able to provide quality care to thousands of patients in need throughout the national territory.

Among the medications and medical supplies received are prenatal medications, pain relievers, hypertensive medications, thyroid treatments, thermometers, oximeters, and allergy treatments, among others. These supplies are vital to treating various common diseases and conditions that affect the Honduran population.

The collaboration between MAP International and Fundesur has been fundamental to strengthen the country's health system and improve access to essential medicines. This second container received is a testament to MAP International's trust and commitment to the health and well-being of Hondurans.

In this special edition of our newsletter, we have shared with you inspiring stories that reflect Fundesur's commitment to the progress and well-being of Honduras. From the exciting math activity at La Bonanza to improvements in educational infrastructure and MAP International's invaluable donation of medicine, each achievement highlights our focus on improving the quality of life in our communities.
