Monitoring the Pueblo Nuevo Water Project

Fundesur, in collaboration with Operation Blessing and Global Brigades, conducted a follow-up tour of the Pueblo Nuevo +5 Water Project, a key initiative to ensure access to clean drinking water in Isla Boca de Río Viejo. During this visit, essential components such as the well, pumping system, storage tank, and distribution line were evaluated to ensure their optimal functionality.

This effort is crucial to ensuring that the project meets its goal of providing a consistent and safe supply of drinking water. Collaboration with community representatives and strategic partners has been vital to the project's progress, demonstrating that working together can create significant impact. Fundesur remains committed to improving the quality of life in southern Honduras, advancing its mission to provide essential resources and foster sustainable development in the region.

Turning Dreams into Realities: The Story of "Las Creativas"

Since 2023, Fundesur has had the honor of supporting a group of 10 brave women from the community of La Bonanza, Namasigüe, on their journey to success. Known as "Las Creativas," these entrepreneurs have passionately dedicated themselves to the craft of making artisanal piñatas, an art that not only brings joy to celebrations but also transforms lives. Thanks to our support in technical training, management, and marketing, "Las Creativas" have now achieved an impressive milestone: securing a contract with the Association of Integral Employee Development (ADI) to sell 500 piñatas. This achievement represents not only the fruit of their labor but also a significant contribution to the local economy. At Fundesur, we believe in the power of small entrepreneurs to transform family economies and generate jobs that benefit the entire community. "Las Creativas" are a living example of how, with support, discipline, and dedication, a dream can be turned into a reality that positively impacts their lives and those of many others.

Fundesur and BAC Credomatic Raise Funds for Health at Unimall

On Thursday, August 22, and Friday, August 23, we carried out a successful donation campaign at Unimall as part of the "Yo me Uno por la Salud" challenge organized by BAC Credomatic. During these days, we received support from numerous individuals committed to the cause, who made their contributions to the "Salud para Vivir" program. This program is dedicated to providing medical and dental care, supplying essential medicines, and carrying out cervical cancer prevention in needy communities. In addition, for those who could not join us in person, we enabled online donation options and bank transfers, making it easier for everyone to participate in this important effort. The response was overwhelming and once again demonstrated the strength of solidarity in our community. Thank you to everyone who joined and helped improve the health and well-being of those who need it most.
